Description

Made in Japan: Kyoto Gion Miko Golden Chili Powder (Japan's No. 1 Chili Powder) (F133)

● Rare golden-yellow Japanese chili pepper ● Spicier component is 10 times that of red chili peppers

If you open the bag thinking it's just ordinary chili peppers, you'll be surprised. These golden, glistening peppers have 10 times the spiciness of regular red chili peppers 🔥. If you're a fan of spicy food, you'll be hooked on their refreshing yet sharp spiciness. They can be used as a condiment or as a seasoning in cooking; a small amount is enough to enhance the spiciness.

With 10 times the spiciness of the Eagle's Claw (red chili pepper), it is the hottest chili pepper in Japan. Gion Miyuki was committed to domestic production, cultivating this precious golden chili pepper on local farms. In the mid-Edo period, as many as 52 varieties of chili peppers were grown domestically in Japan. However, due to the continuous influx of imported chili peppers at low cost, the decline of Japanese agriculture did not stop, and most of the chili peppers currently in circulation are now imported.

💥 Japan's Rare Golden Chili Peppers
💥 10x Spicy Than Regular Red Chili

If you open the package thinking this is just an ordinary chili powder, you're in for a rude awakening! The gleaming golden chili flakes are 10 times spicier than regular red chilies. For chili lovers, the clean, piercing heat is absolutely addictive. Use it sparingly as a seasoning or flavoring - a little goes a long way in kicking up the spice factor.

Boasting 10 times the Scoville heat of cayenne pepper, this is the spiciest chili in all of Japan. Gion Miyuki is dedicated to sourcing these precious golden chilies from domestic Japanese farms. In the Edo period, Japan cultivated as many as 52 chili varieties, but as cheaper imported chilies flooded the market, much of Japan's chili agriculture declined. Now, most commercially available chilies are imported.
